A Fun Night as the Cleveland Gladiators beat the Philadelphia Soul

Category: sonsadmin @ 2:28 pm

On Saturday Afternoon on May 21, 2011 the Native Sons went to see an Arena Football game for the first time.  47 sons, dads and siblings all had a great time.  First we had an open session on the Cav’s practice court.  We didn’t get to do any planned activites, since it looked like everyone was okay on their own and afterwards we had a Dad’s “knockout” basketball game.

In the evening we headed upstairs to the football game was which was very action packed.  Our seats were around the goal line, in the lower bowl. (The upper bowl was curtained off).  They told us that we could sit anywhere in the section, so most of us ended up further down.  (In the second half, some of us moved to the second row, and no one cared.  Pretty loose).

Two of our dad’s were on the field for a game during one of the breaks , and another dad  won a contest on the jumbotron.  In the end, the Gladiators won.  The whole game had Lots of action and One of the Tribal Chief’s older son even caught a ball, so he was quite happy.  Some of us even stuck around for Autographs after the game.

Thanks to Ritch Lewis and the Iroquois for planning this great event.
