On Sunday May 22, in the afternoon the Native Dads and Daughters and their Families took a long drive south to the Wagon Trails Safari. The Safari was just as exciting as we thought it would be. We had an absolute ball. The trip was well worth it.
The actual safari worked out to be actually less than an hour and we were thankful that there were some ice cream places nearby because of the hot sun. Some of the girls thought it was like a rescue village for dogs and cats from the inner city and were blown away when they saw the camels, water buffalo, bison, antelope, elk, caribou, deer, zebra, donkey, horses, ostrich, goats, llamas, pigs, turkeys, peacocks and many other exotic species from Africa. Most animals could be both fed and petted. This was one of the best activities this year, surely the weather helped too.
Thanks to Alex Hirsh for suggesting and planning this great event.
